After Deadly Drone Attack in Tel Aviv, IAF Strikes Yemen!
On Shabbos, Israel conducted a series of airstrikes against multiple Houthi targets in the Hodeidah port area of western Yemen. These targets included oil refineries, a power plant, and weapon warehouses. The airstrikes resulted in the deaths and injuries of dozens of individuals.
The aftermath of the strikes saw massive fires erupting at the port, exacerbated by the oil stored there. By the end of Shabbos in Israel, these fires were still raging. The operation, involving over a dozen fighter jets, rendered the port completely inoperative. According to Israeli sources, the port serves as a “significant economic source for Houthi terrorism” due to the weapons smuggled in from Iran and the critical energy infrastructure located there.
This action was in response to a drone launched by the Houthis, which struck Tel Aviv early Friday morning, resulting in one fatality and eight injuries. This attack was part of a series of approximately 220 attempted assaults on Israel by the Houthis since October 7th.
